Description
On April 26, at the Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic, the Korkyt ethnic ensemble will present a concert entitled «A Treasure Carried Through Blood». The event will take place in the Philharmonic Concert Hall and begin at 5:00 PM.
National art is the soul of a people - its most precious historical legacy. In the spirit of preserving and promoting these values, and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, the Y. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic in collaboration with the BOTA Support Centre is organising a cultural event titled «A Treasure Carried Through Blood».
The main aim of the event is to popularise the national values of the Kazakh people - particularly those preserved by ethnic Kazakhs who repatriated from the Obda region - and to pass on this cultural legacy. The concert seeks to revive and preserve traditional Kazakh art, customs, and ancient songs and melodies for future generations.
Before the concert, at 4:00 PM, a folk crafts exhibition and fair will be held, aiming to promote Kazakh decorative and applied arts and to display traditional household items. This will provide a unique cultural platform for discovering Kazakh jewellery, handicrafts, and artisanship.
The concert programme will especially celebrate the national heritage of the Kazakh people. Throughout the evening, performers will present Kazakh folk songs and melodies, accompanied by the Korkyt ethnic ensemble. The artistic director of the ensemble is Sholpan Korganbek, a distinguished figure in the field of culture.
A special highlight of the event will be the participation of eminent cultural figures from Mongolia and Kazakhstan, who will showcase their artistry. Among the featured performers are renowned cultural personalities of Kazakhstan such as Allazhar Qaıbar, Yerlan Ryskali, Gulzira Bokeykhan, cultural advocate Meruesh Bashaikyzy, Khadykhan Manai, a distinguished cultural figure of Mongolia, and Muratbek Khairolda, laureate of the state youth award “Daryn”.
