«Erke Sylqym» – A Tribute Evening to Abdimomyn Zheldibaev

On April 12, 2025, at 19:00, the concert hall of the Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic under the Akimat of Astana will host a commemorative evening dedicated to the Honoured Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, recipient of the «Parasat», «Kurmet», and «Dostyk» Orders - the renowned kyushi and composer Abdimomyn Zheldibayev.

Abdimomyn Zheldibayev, one of the most prominent figures of Kazakh kui art, is the composer of the famous «Erke Sylqym». Throughout his creative journey, he always placed the support and love of his people at the heart of his work. His masterpieces such as «Erke Sylqym,» «Turan Eli,» «Zhetysu Sazy,» and «Aulie Ata» have become treasured gems of the national musical heritage. In addition to his renowned kuis, Zheldibayev also composed several songs, making a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh vocal art.

If I have achieved anything in life, it is solely thanks to the people», - these heartfelt words reflect the composer’s creative philosophy and sincere devotion to his craft.

Zheldibayev’s kui «Erke Sylqym» is highly revered by music lovers across many countries. His works are passed down from generation to generation, serving as vivid embodiments of the Kazakh national musical spirit.

The evening will feature performances of the composer’s kuis and songs, reviving and celebrating the greatness of his legacy. Esteemed artists from across the country will take part in the event. The Kazakh orchestra will be conducted by Honoured Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aitkali Zhaiymov and Cultural Figure Nurlan Bekenov.
