A joint project of the Korean Theatre and Samruk Contemporary Dance Theatre.

Chapter 1 - «FANTOM CONTOURS»

Premiere of the first dance performance by the laboratory of dancers of the Republican State Academic Korean Theatre and Samruk Contemporary Dance Theatre Each part of the performance ‘Phantom Contours’, is a separate story-dialogue, which raises questions about the nature of the existence of phantom pains and visions, sleep paralysis, when we see a dream of images and fears.

At the centre of the narrative is an attempt to capture the invisible contours of the phantom, to make them incarnate, to attract the image of loved ones and the departed.

Chapter 2: Performance «Inside the Cycle»

What is a CYCLE? It is an amalgamation of independent parts, which together reveal a common idea.

The study of the inner processes of a person arising in interaction with others. What does everyone feel and experience when they find themselves in a new space among strangers?

The play reveals how the characters overcome circumstances and move together towards a common goal, completing the cycle. But everyone has their own story, task and path. As in life: we need each other to be in the right place at the right time.

A unique synthesis of modern choreography and Korean traditional dance on the stage of the Korean Theatre!
