Poetic mono-performance «13 Questions to Akhmatova» performed by Yulia Rutberg in Almaty

The author of the idea and performer is Yulia Rutberg, People's Artist of Russia, actress of the Evgeny Vakhtangov Theatre, winner of the «Seagull» and «Crystal Turandot» awards.

These epithets are only posthumous labels that are more suitable for a monument than a person, there is little soul in them. But time, the most ruthless judge, chose and preserved the Poet. What continues to attract people to her? What do they ask her today, what answers do they find?

We are trying to find living meanings in her poems, which have already become canonical.

The programme will feature works by Anna Akhmatova, a poet of the Silver Age and one of the most important figures of Russian literature of the 20th century, and music by Dmitry Shostakovich, Johann Sebastian Bach and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
