This comedy by playwright Akram Akhmetov extols the virtues of true friendship and love. Two friends, huddled in a trench during the war, marry after the war and have children, and if one gives birth to a boy and the other a girl, the two friends agree to betroth the children.
Years later, the two friends, separated from each other, find each other and try to betroth the children according to their former vows. However, the two young men, unaware of their father's vows, met while they were still students, fell in love and tried to get married after graduation. When the two veteran friends tell their children about their vows and their intention to get engaged, the two young men defy their father's orders by saying that they already have people they love. The boy's friend Hamit comes up with an ingenious way out of the situation. At the end of the events, it is revealed that the intentions of the two friends and the love of the two young men come down to the same thing, and friendship and love reach a climax.
