The Master of Ladies' Work (KATMK)

The hero of the play, Golokhvastov, tries to find for himself a solution to an urgent and quite difficult question: whether it is better to marry profitably or to marry for love. Alas, the desire to combine the useful and the pleasant ends in a deafening fiasco for the hero, who chases two birds with one stone.

V. Ilyin and V. Lukashov's musical comedy The Master of Ladies' Work continues the traditions of Ukrainian musical comedy. In full accordance with the genre, the composers have written music that is organic and at the same time theatrical, accurately illustrating the entertaining intrigue. The production is characterised by a precisely found measure in the ratio of lyrical and comic, satire and entertainment.

It openly and simply articulates a common but time-honoured truth:
Live honestly, don't cheat.
Love truly.
And... happiness will not keep you waiting!
