The emotional turmoil of indecision, the fear of making the wrong choice, and the insecurity in one's own desires lie at the heart of Jerry and Gittel’s drama.

As long as we remain simply «him» and «her», loneliness feels unnatural to the human spirit. We are always in search of our «other half». But the hardest part isn’t the search - it’s the ability to understand and accept another person as they are, even when love alone may not be enough to hold two people together.

One of the play’s key messages: We cannot truly begin something new until we have boldly and honestly closed the chapter on what came before.
