On 21 and 24 February 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan men's national basketball team will play home matches against the men's national teams of Qatar and Iran within the framework of the Asian Cup 2025 qualification!

The Asian Cup is the 31st Asian Basketball Championship among men's national teams under the auspices of FIBA (Asia). The tournament is hosted by Saudi Arabia. It is the most prestigious tournament for men's national teams in this sport in Asia. The scheduled dates are from 5 to 17 August 2025. The reigning champions are Australia.

There are 24 teams participating in the qualification tournament. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the final tournament, while the six third-placed teams will play another qualifying tournament for the last four places. Matches will be played in three windows: February 2024, November 2024 and February 2025.

Opponents:
In the qualification tournament, Kazakhstan plays in Group E along with teams from Iran, India and Qatar.
