Sky Swallows (KATMK)

The operetta is set in the first half of the 19th century in the French countryside. Denise de Flavigny, a young pupil of the convent boarding house «Sky Swallows», discovers the secret of the music teacher Celestin: it turns out that he is not such a prude and a bore as he tried to appear. He leads a double life and outside the monastery, a cheerful pro-life Floridor, composing operettas for a small theatre, where his mistress Corinna works.

One evening, Célestin once again sneaks off to town to attend the premiere of his latest creation. Denise follows him to the theatre. The feisty Corinna causes a scandal and refuses to play in the operetta, and instead Denise, who knows the score by heart and goes on stage under the pseudonym ‘Mademoiselle Nitouche’, conquers the audience with her performance.

The young Fernand, present in the audience, falls in love with Denise. After a series of funny misunderstandings, everything comes to a happy ending.
