One-act ballet performance «Falcons of the Revolution» for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War
Description
Music: G. Sviridov, A. Alexandrov, D. Shostakovich
Script and Choreography: Bulat Ayukhanov
The central event of 2025 will be the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, where every republic made an invaluable contribution to the defeat of fascism, and every family today carries the memory of those who stood in defense of the Motherland. Many did not return from the battlefield, while others contributed to the Great Victory with their selfless labor in the rear. We must never forget these sacrifices and our Heroes! We remember! We are proud!
Against the backdrop of the characters of K. Marx, Abai, Lenin, and Stalin, the ballet tells the bitter fate of the entire Soviet people, who endured many tragic trials.
The family - husband, wife, and two children - endure the arrest of the head of the family. Before this, Lenin's plan for building communism was progressing by leaps and bounds in the country; there was enthusiasm, Stakhanovites, and production leaders, and the country overcame all the hardships of Soviet construction.
The ballet opens with the powerful «Internationale» and the explosion of Lenin's appearance on the most optimistic note, convincing everyone that the country would triumph both in labor and in the battles of the Civil War!
A lyrical interlude of Abai's song «The Apple of My Eye» initially did not anticipate the ominous appearance of Stalin, who shed much blood and suffering. But the Great Patriotic War began, bringing with it great hardship, but ended with the victory of the Soviet people (announced by the reassuring sounds of the Kremlin chimes). The head of the family returns, and this joy is shared by a great Russian woman who finds herself alongside a Kazakh woman, who had almost lost hope of ever seeing her husband again, for death awaited him and others like him in the camps.
They are happy, as are their children, and the people. Everything celebrates and rejoices in the victory of spirit. A grand festive waltz to the music of D. Shostakovich emerges, followed by the folk dance «Kara Zhorga».
